Greek Chicken Meatballs

Ingredients


  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for frying

 

Directions


  • Add all of the meatball ingredients to a bowl.
  • Mix with your hands until well combined and form into small meatballs.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and then add a tablespoon of oil.
  • Next add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until the meatballs are brown.

For Serving


  • Chopped romaine
  • Feta
  • Cucumber
  • Tomato
  • White rice
  • Tzatziki sauce

Easy Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups plain whole milk Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup grated seedless/English cucumber, gently squeezed in a kitchen cloth to remove water
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
